5k, part 2!

i will be at the genesis women's shelter make the break 5k a week from saturday. if you're in the dallas area, you should too! the money goes to a great cause and it's a good reason to get up early on a saturday and start the day off healthily and actively. if it weren't for this 5k, i would be sleeping til 2 pm all slothy-like so i totally understand the impetus behind laziness, but give a thought to coming out and supporting a great charity at reverchon park.

hearts for haiti

join me in the collective of etsy artisans coming together to raise money for the relief effort in haiti. here's how it works: individual artists donate items to the shop hearts for haiti, who in turn sell these items and send 100% of the proceeds to doctors without borders. the items are loosely themed around the idea of hearts, making this particular shop a perfect place to shop for valentine's day while doing something good at the same time.
